Despite what you think you may know, fluoride is one of the most dangerous additives that’s in your toothpastes, mouthwashes, and even in your water. It’s pushed by dentists because it is said to help prevent cavities. Although there is some truth in that statement, it does way more harm to the body than good. Fluoride calcifies your pineal gland, which is an endocrine gland located in your brain that secretes a hormone called melatonin. Melatonin is essential for the human body because it regulates circadian rhythms, blood pressure, hormones, and provides many other benefits for the brain and nervous system. Honestly, it’s not your fault that you’ve been lied to about how safe fluoride is. There is a lot of misinformation out there about a lot of things, so make sure to do your own research when it comes to your health.
Fear not!
There are many ways to eliminate fluoride from entering your body. But what I am going to focus on is toothpaste. Almost every single toothpaste has fluoride added to it unless you specifically search for one that is fluoride free. But even the fluoride free toothpastes that are available today contain other harmful ingredients like carrageenan. That’s why, just like anything else, it’s safer to make your toothpaste at home! It’s quick, easy, and the ingredients are cheap and healthy.
Toothpaste Recipe:
-5 TBS of Organic, non-GMO, Cold Pressed, Coconut Oil (I get mine from Trader Joes)
-3 Organic, non-GMO Activated Charcoal Capsules (Click here for the ones I use)
-40 drops of Spearmint Essential Oil (I use doTERRA)
Directions:
1. Put coconut oil in a bowl and open the charcoal capsules so that the powder is mixed with coconut oil (discard the empty capsule).
2. Mix together so that it is evenly colored and smooth. Make sure to mix out all of the lumps from the coconut oil.
3. Add in 40-45 drops of therapeutic grade spearmint essential oil. Mix for about a minute. (You can use any of your favorite essential oils. Other people I know use peppermint or cinnamon)
4. Place mixture in a glass mason jar that is airtight. Keep stored at room temperature or in a cool dry place. If left in a hot environment, it will melt and separate. If this happens, place in the fridge for about an hour and then mix well and store in a cool place.
*Try not to spit in the sink, coconut oil will clog your drain over time! Instead, spit in a garbage.
This mixture lasts me a long time since a little goes a long way. I have not had any cavities or dental issues since I started using this last year. You will save money, better your health, and brighten your smile. Activated charcoal, other than being great for gut health, is a natural teeth whitener. So try to brush your teeth for at least 45 seconds before rinsing out your mouth so it has time to sit on your teeth!
Also, it’s very beneficial to always brush your tongue, especially for those who suffer from autoimmune issues. Scrape that built up bacteria with a copper tongue scraper at least one time per day. Amazon has a good selection, here’s one.
Now that you’ve got homemade toothpaste with amazing ingredients, you’re now one step closer to decalcifying your pineal gland! Do some research on how to do this in other ways as well. The more the better. Some brief information I will give you is:
-Stop consuming fluoride (water, dental care, etc.) and purify your water with shungite chips.
-Incorporate raw cacao (not cocoa). This is great powder to add to your smoothies.
-Practice meditation, yoga, or another mindful activity.
-Sun gaze during the first 15 minutes of sunrise and the last 15 minutes of sunset. BUT you should not be sun-gazing without an efficient amount of DHA and Astaxanthin in your body. Read my previous post about that here.
Hope this helps your stanky breath and makes you smarter. Dis shiz vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, and amazing. Yo welcome.
xoxo,
Hailey
